Teachmend was founded by Mo Abukar, an experienced Head of Science who has spent over 12 years in secondary education. With a scientific background and a deep commitment to student outcomes, Mo understands first-hand the pressures facing science teachers today.

The motivation was clear: teacher burnout is real, and it's largely driven by the volume of low-value admin that gets in the way of actual teaching. Endless mark entry, manual data crunching, and writing the same feedback over and over — it adds up. Teachmend was built to take that weight off, so teachers can spend their energy where it matters.

Why "Teachmend"?

Because teaching, as it stands, is broken, and it needs mending. Far too many teachers experience burnout and are dealing with a challenging, unsustainable workload. The name says exactly what this platform sets out to do: mend teaching, one less burden at a time.

The result is a platform that doesn't just save time — it generates meaningful, actionable data for students, parents, and teachers alike. From personalised progress reports to question-level analysis, every feature exists to close the gap between effort and impact.

And it's completely free for teachers. No subscription, no credit card — just sign up and start using it.

"I built this to solve burnout — mine and every other science teacher's. The data should work for us, not the other way around."
